TDS has produced state of the art bit synchronizers for over 25 years. The DBS-400 is a rack mount bit synchronizer that can provide 1 to 4 channels of I/O at up to 60 Mbps per channel.
Parraid also provides PCI and VME bit synchronizers and software to setup and control all of these units.

The stand-alone PCM Bit Synchronizer, Model DBS-400, is a multi-featured, digitally-controlled Bit Synchronizer that provides state-of-the-art BER performance. The DBS-400 excels in harsh noise conditions with a signal-to-noise ratio level superior to every other unit in its class and represents a breakthrough in high-speed digital Bit Synchronizers. Its patented loop width and tracking features enable the DBS-400 to attain the performance levels of Bit Synchronizers costing two or three times as much.
Integrated into a 19-inch rack-mounted assembly, the stand-alone DBS-400 provides front-end flexibility to the system integrator. Programmability includes: input sources and impedance, input code types and polarity, tunable bit rates, loop and tracking bandwidths, output codes and clock phases, and an optional convolutional decoder/encoder feature for the high reliability transmission required in space-based applications. The DBS-400 is controlled and programmed via an internal CPU with a numeric/parameter/function keypad and interactive display. Remote control may be supported via RS-232 or Ethernet. Optional support is available for the simultaneous operation of four internal Bit Synchronizer modules.
The DBS-400 is used with PCM applications where noise-reliable solutions are required for noise perturbation problems. Telemetry and Data System's patented digital bit synchronizer design uses the most advanced, low-power, high-reliability components available on the market today.
For Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems (CCSDS) applications, the DBS-400 offers an optional Viterbi decoding function using QUALCOMM's Convolutional (Viterbi) Decoder algorithm. The constraint length of seven and the one-half rate decoding scheme, as adopted by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the European Space Agency (ESA), are supported by the DBS-400.

The TSNC module represents a breakthrough in high-speed digital bit synchronizers. Its patented phase-lock loop and tracking features enable the TSNC bit sync to attain performance levels equal to box-level bit synchronizers costing two to three times as much.
Occupying a single PCI bus card slot, the TSNC bit sync provides complete front-end flexibility to the system integrator. Programmability includes selection of source and impedance, input code type and polarity, bit rate, loop and tracking bandwidths, output code, and clock phase.
An optional on-board convolutional (Viterbi) decoder provides programmable symbol inversion and symbol order, differential conversion, and descrambling. An on-board encoder is also provided.
